ASSESSMENT OF RIVER AAMI’S WATER QUALITY: PHYSICOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND IMPLICATIONS
Arpita Singh*, Sunil Kumar Singh and Ajay Singh
Abstract The Aami River serves as the principal waterway beside a major section of Uttar Pradesh's eastern area. Along with the local population, especially in Khalilabad, Sant Kabir Nagar, district Uttar Pradesh, the river sustains the aquatic flora and animals. The GIDA group of industries contributes significantly to industrial development, GDP growth in India, and economic expansion. Nonetheless, it has become evident in recent years that this river is seriously contaminated in an irreversible way. The analysis of the Aami River's physico-chemical parameters is presented in this paper. For six months, changes in physical and chemical parameters, including water temperature, total dissolved solids, pH, colour, odour, alkalinity, BOD, COD were examined. Keywords: Physico-chemical parameters, pH, Temperature, Alkalinity, TDS, COD, BOD. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
