REVIEW ON: NUTRACEUTICALS AND ITS IMPACT ON HEALTH CARE

. Abstract Nutraceuticals' basic idea is to "take care of what you eat and stay healthy." Stephen De Felice coined the phrase "nutraceutical," which include prebiotics, probiotics, functional foods, medicinal foods, and supplements. Nutraceuticals provide a number of health advantages, from improving general health to curing chronic illnesses. Although nutraceuticals are thought to be safe for human consumption, their intended medical use has sled to a growing demand for them in India. This is largely due to a shift towards preventative curatives, the addition of disposable income, favourable pricing conditions in the pharmaceutical retail chain, and an increase in healthcare spending. Nutraceuticals are a growing trend in drugs that combine natural supplements in foods with complaint- preventative elements of traditional medicines.
