ROLE OF HOMEOPATHY IN AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER

. Abstract Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), commonly called as just autism, is a neurodevelopment condition involving deficits in social interaction, communication, and/or the presence of restrictive or repetitive behaviors. There is a growing prevalence of autism worldwide which has led to an increase in research of various treatment options, including complementary and alternative medicine, with homeopathy being one of the more widely discussed alternatives. Homeopathy offers a new and individualistic approach in the management of the various presenting complains associated with ASD. This article sheds light on the role of homeopathy in the management of autism, exploring the epidemiology, etiology, risk factors, signs& symptoms, and general management strategies. There is also a brief discussion about various homeopathic medicines which can be used in dealing with cases of autism. The review also emphasises on the potential benefits of using homeopathic medicines in the context of ASD.
