FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF RED CABBAGE MATTE LIPSTICK

. Abstract Cosmetics are the substances used to alter the appearance or Fragrance of the Human body. The aim is to analyse the chemical composition of red cabbage pigment in lipstick. Particularly, its anthocyanins, which are responsible for its ability to acts as a natural PH indicator. Understanding the structural changes in anthocyanins under different PH conditions forms the foundation for its use as an acid-base indicator. The aim of present study including the formulation and evaluation of red cabbage matte lipstick. Evaluated on the parameters such as colour and texture, PH, Breaking point, Melting point, Hardness, Rancidity. The present study concluded that red cabbage matte lipstick, with its balanced PH, produces a colour matching commercial lipsticks, confirming red cabbage extract as a natural PHsensitive alternative to synthetic colorants.
