ONE POT SYNTHESIS AND BIOEVLUATION OF 2, 4, 5-TRIPHENYL IMIDAZOLE PROMOTED BY PTSA
P. Janaki, P. Jeevana Kumari, U. Bhargavi and K. Jagannadham*
Abstract The synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazole is a straightforward, highly adaptable, and effective process that uses PTSA as a catalyst to cyclocondensate,1,2-dicarbonyl compounds, aldehydes, and ammonium acetate as an ammonia source in a thermal solvent under ethanol conditions. Mass spectrometry and 1HNMR and 13CNMR were used to describe each component. Furthermore, the target chemical showed significant antibacterial activity, surpassing the usual Streptomycin and Ketonozole, and some of its derivatives showed moderate to high antimicrobial efficacy against important species of bacteria and fungi. Benzoxazole derivatives appear to have great potential for future development as medicinal agents, according to these studies. Keywords: 2, 4, 5-triarylimidazoles, Benzil, Aromatic aldehyde, PTSA and Bioevluation. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
