Abstract Chronic Rhinosinusitis is defined as a symptomatic inflammation of one or more of the paranasal sinuses (i.e., the ethmoid, maxillary, sphenoid, and frontal sinuses) and nasal cavity persisting for more than 12 weeks. The obstruction of the sinus ostia, whether due to infection, allergy, or anatomic malformations, is the most common pathway leading to sinusitis symptoms and pathology.
