Abstract Goji berries, also known as Lycium barbarum, have been valued in Chinese medicine for a long time. Scientists are now studying them more because they are rich in good substances and can help with many health issues. Goji berries have lots of vitamins (C, A, B), important minerals, sugars, and other helpful compounds. They fight damage, cut swelling, and boost the immune system. Because of these traits, they can help protect the brain, keep the heart healthy, control diabetes, and improve sight. Recent studies even show they might fight cancer by making cancer cells die. Besides medicine, goji berries are used in health foods, beauty products, and drugs. Research shows they can cut stress from oxygen, manage fat levels, boost the immune system, and help the brain. But, there are problems like changes in how much good stuff is in them, few big clinical trials, and issues with how the body uses and processes them. More research is needed to make better formulas, set specific dose rules, and follow health laws. Proving their effectiveness through more tests will be key to using goji berries in new health ways for preventing and treating diseases. Keywords: . [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
