DETERMINATION OF GIBBERELLIC ACID FROM Rhizobium (MAIZE) BY THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY

Abstract

The present study was conducted in order to know the production and optimization of the Gibberellic acid produced by Rhizobium isolated from the maize plants rhizopheric soil Yeast extract mannitol agar medium was used for the isolation of Rhizobium and identified by various physicochemical parameters. The production of Gibberellic acid was identified by Thin layer chromatography.The efficient strain was used for the production and extraction of Gibberellic acid by using ethyl acetate and Tween 80 using spectrophotometer at various incubation time. Optimization of media (carbon and nitrogen sources) were made for improved yield of gibberellic acid production.
