PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING & PHARMACOGNOSTIC INVESTIGATION OF LEAVES EXTRACT OF FICUS ELASTIC AND FICUS LYRATA

Abstract

Ficus is one of the largest genera of flowering plants in the Moraceae family, with 875 species altogether. They are also known as figs or fig trees. India now has 115 species known to exist, with the greatest diversity found in the Northeast. The current study lists the several Ficus species that can be found in India along with details about their pharmacological characteristics, geographic distribution, and taxonomic classification.
