EFFECT OF SURANADI LEPA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ARSHAS (HAEMORRHOIDS) A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Arshas is more common in anorectal disorders. Haemorrhoids are the varicosity of the haemorrhoid plexus. In modern treatment surgical technique required like Rubber band ligation, Haemorrhoidectomy and so on. In Ayurveda various measures have been mentioned for the management of Arshas, among Lepa karma is one of them. According to chronicity Lepa karma procedure seems to be effective and is safe treatment for the patient who have fear for surgery. A 46 years old male patient presented with palpable mass while defecation, bleeding per rectum, pain and constipation, came to shalyatantra OPD, S.V. Ayurvedic hospital. Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The patient was treated with Suranadi Lepa for 15 days. The patient was relieved from complaints after the complete duration of treatment. With this study to evaluate the effect of Suranadi Lepa in the management of Arshas, observed the results and advantages of Lepa karma are shared in this case study.
