*Roshan G. Teli, Vishakha D. Tabade, Prerna A. Tilkar
. Abstract Herbal soaps are gaining popularity due to their natural composition, skin-friendly properties, and environmental benefits. This study focuses on the formulation, preparation, and evaluation of an herbal baby soap using natural ingredients such as Shami Patra extract, turmeric extract, and aloe vera. The soap is prepared using the cold process method, ensuring the preservation of essential nutrients and bioactive compounds. Various quality parameters, including pH, foam height, foam retention, total fatty matter (TFM), and skin irritation tests, were analysed to determine its efficacy and safety. The results indicate that the formulated soap is mild, non-irritating, and possesses excellent cleansing and moisturizing properties. The absence of harmful chemicals and the presence of herbal extracts make it suitable for sensitive baby skin. Additionally, the study highlights the growing consumer preference for natural and organic skincare products, emphasizing the potential of herbal soaps in the market.
