A CONCEPTUAL STUDY TO REVIEW THE BIOAVAILABILITY ENHANCING PROPERTY OF HONEY W.S.R. TO YAGAVAHI GUNA

. Abstract Honey, a yellow viscous substance referred to as 'liquid gold', has been treasured by humans for millennia and is obtained from the hives of bees. Madhu (Honey) has a unique property to enhance the called "Yogavahi," which enables it to enhance the effectiveness of other substances it's combined with. This means honey can amplify the benefits of various herbs, minerals and medicinal ingredients, making it a valuable component in Ayurvedic medicine formulations. Bioenhancer (Yogvaahak) improves the absorption and effectiveness of nutrients, drugs, or other bioactive compounds in the body. Acharya Dalhana mentioned in its commentary that when honey combines with compounds and performs the same action, that is, they are contributors. It is an ideal carrier for drugs not only in Shaman Aushadhi but also in Shodhan Chikitsa. This article conclude the Yogavahi action of Madhu through which Madhu performs the different action when combines with different drugs.
