HEALING WITH HERBS: FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL BANDAGE

. Abstract Wound can sometimes recover in longer period or reconstruct tissue, which might sometimes result into acute wound which can lead into generation of chronic type or microbial development. To avoid harming and prevent quick wound recovering property, most common kit is adhesive bandage i.e., bandaids. Being plant and product of plant, being utilized as from pre-historic times so herbal varieties of bandaids can exhibit a such a huge role in wound healing with immense effects. Such herbal forms are established to exhibit not just increased wound healing property but concurrently can exhibit pharmacological activity like, antibacterial, antipyretic, antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative property for enhanced effect. The article is on the basis of manufacturing such forms of bandaids, under proper hygienic and sanitary condition. The herbal bandaids, were prepared and several assessments were conducted according to the standard procedures. It was ascertained that herbal types of bandaids might be a good option in treating wounds more diversely and rightfully.
