MANAGEMENT OF SUBCHORIONIC HEMORRHAGE IN PREGNANCY- HOLISTIC APPROACH: A CASE REPORT
*Dr. Vidyashri S. Vadagali and Dr. Anupama V.
. Abstract Subchorionic haemorrhage (SCH) is characterized by the collection of blood between the chorion and the uterine wall. It is one of the most common sonographic findings in early pregnancy. It accounts for approximately 1%–3% of all pregnancies, with a higher prevalence in women presenting with first-trimester bleeding. While many cases are self-limiting, larger haemorrhages may pose a risk for miscarriage, placental abruption, or preterm labor. Modern medical management often includes observation, activity modification, and supportive hormonal therapy. In Ayurveda, such conditions may be correlated with garbhasrava, attributed to vitiation of vata dosha. Ayurvedic interventions, including garbhasthapana therapies and sattvavajaya chikitsa, aim to restore balance and support uterine stability. This case report explores an integrative approach combining conventional monitoring with Ayurvedic treatments, demonstrating improved maternal and fetal outcomes. Keywords: SCH, Subchorionic haemorrhage, Garbhasrava, Garbhasthapana. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
