DESIGN AND SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION IN-VITRO ANTI INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF N- SUBSTITUTED 2(P-TOLYL)4- SUBSTITUTED, 1,3 DIONE INDOLE DERIVATIVES

Abstract The present investigation is concerned with synthesis of new substituted indole derivatives with the objective of discovering novel and potent anti-inflammatory agent. The structure of all the synthesized compounds were elucidated by spectral (IR, 1HNMR 13C NMR and mass spectroscopy analysis. The obtained compounds were screened for their anti-inflammatory activities at the dose of 100–500 μg/mL. The compound N-Substituted 2-(P-Tolyl)4- substituted,1,3Dione indole two showed better anti-inflammatory activities at the graded dose a concentration range of 100–500 μg/mL.
