A CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF JALALUKAVACHARANA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF HYPERURICEMIA W.S.R. RAKTA AVRIT VATA
*Dr. Aditi Acharya, Prof. (Dr.) Pranabjyoti Baishya and Dr. Manir Uddin Dewan
Abstract Hyperuricemia is an “AnuktaVyadhi" which on the basis of hetu and dosha- dushya dushti can be hypothesized as Rakta- avrita Vata. Uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism, which get elevated in the blood due to either over production by increasing intake of meat etc or due to reduced excretion by the Kidneys. Acharya Sushrut considered Raktamokshan as ardha chikitsa and Jalaukavacharana is Ashastrakrita Raktashoshaka which helps in sucking out impure blood and removes vitiated doshas primarily Pitta and Rakta dosha. In this case study the efficacy of Jalalukavacharan on 43-year-old male patient with Hyperuricemia with Serum Uric acid 8.5mg/dl will be discussed. Keywords: Hyperuricemia, Rakta- avrita Vata, Uric acid, Case study, Jalaukavacharana. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
