. Abstract The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of a natural gel-based face wash incorporating Chlorella vulgaris extract and Senna auriculata (avarampoo) flower extract. Chlorella vulgaris, a nutrient-rich microalga, is known for its antioxidant, anti- inflammatory, and skin-rejuvenating properties, while Senna auriculata possesses antibacterial, antiacne, and skin-brightening effects. The extracts were incorporated into a natural gel base using Carbopol as a gelling agent, along with suitable humectants and surfactants, to produce a mild, pH-balanced cleansing formulation. The prepared face wash gel was evaluated for physicochemical parameters including appearance, pH, viscosity, spreadability, foamability, and stability under accelerated conditions. Antimicrobial activity against acne- causing bacteria was also assessed. Results indicated that the formulation exhibited desirable organoleptic properties, effective cleansing action, and good stability, making it a promising herbal alternative to synthetic face cleansers. Keywords: Chlorella vulgaris, Senna auriculata, Avarampoo, herbal face wash, gel formulation, antimicrobial, skin care, natural cosmetics. [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
