Abstract Abdominal fat accumulation, often termed Medoroga in Ayurveda, represents an imbalance of Kapha dosha and impaired Agni (digestive fire). It is a growing health concern linked with metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, and cardiovascular risks. Swasthavritta—the Ayurvedic science of health promotion and lifestyle regulation—offers preventive and corrective strategies to manage abdominal fat through balanced diet, physical activity, daily routine, and mental wellbeing.
