SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS AND ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE SERVICES
Dr. Akshay Joshi*, Angel Brown
Abstract A person’s social and economic status has a big impact on how easily they can get healthcare services. People with low income often face problems like not having enough money, no health insurance, poor transport, and a lack of knowledge about health. These issues make it hard for them to get proper and timely medical help. In contrast, people with better financial and social conditions usually have more access to healthcare, including regular checkups and specialist doctors, which leads to better health overall. This difference between rich and poor increases health inequality in society. This paper looks at how factors like income, education, job type, and living conditions affect access to healthcare, and suggests ways to reduce these gaps so that everyone can get fair and equal health services.
