Abstract In the present investigation a series of some novel chalcones (2a-d) and their heterocyclic analogs such as Isoxazolines (3a-d), Pyrimidines (4a-d), Pyrazolines (5a-d), Benzodiazepines (6a-d) and Benzothiazepines (7a-d) respectively, have been conventionally synthesized and characterized by using physical and spectral analytical data.
