INDIVIDUALIZED AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT RESULTING IN NATURAL CONCEPTION AFTER REPEATED FAILED ASSISTED REPRODUCTIVE TECHNOLOGY CYCLES: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Background: Infertility is a multifactorial condition that can significantly affect the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of couples. Repeated failures of assisted reproductive techniques such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) often leave couples seeking alternative approaches to improve reproductive health and achieve conception. Case Presentation: A 40-year-old woman with a 15-year history of primary infertility presented in July 2025. Prior to consultation, she had undergone five IUI cycles and five IVF cycles at various fertility centers without achieving pregnancy. The patient sought Ayurvedic management with the desire to conceive naturally. Her husband simultaneously commenced treatment to optimize overall reproductive health. A comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment protocol was initiated, focusing on restoring reproductive balance, mproving menstrual health, and enhancing fertility potential. Intervention and Outcome: Over the course of seven months, the patient demonstrated gradual improvement in menstrual cycle regularity and overall well-being. Both partners remained compliant with the prescribed treatment regimen and lifestyle recommendations. Following seven months of Ayurvedic treatment, the patient achieved spontaneous natural conception without the use of assisted reproductive technologies. Pregnancy was confirmed through standard clinical evaluation. Conclusion: This case highlights the potential role of individualized Ayurvedic management in supporting fertility and facilitating natural conception in couples with a prolonged history of infertility and multiple unsuccessful ART attempts. While the outcome is encouraging, further systematic clinical research is warranted to evaluate theq effectiveness of Ayurvedic interventions in similar infertility populations.
