A REVIEW ON HERBAL PEEL-OFF (JELLY) MASKS FORMULATED USING SELECTED HERBAL PLANTS

Abstract The growing demand for safe, natural, and environmentally friendly cosmetics has driven a significant shift toward the use of medicinal plants in the personal care and cosmetics industry. Owing to their strong therapeutic activity, minimal side effects, environmental tolerance, biodegradability, and suitability for a wide range of skin types, herbal cosmetics have proven to be an effective substitute for synthetic skincare products. Among these, herbal jelly (peel-off) masks are especially popular because of their gel-like consistency, cooling sensation, ease of application, and ability to deliver bioactive phytoconstituents directly to the surface of the skin.
