Abstract

Herbal face washesareincreasingly preferred oversynthetic formulations because theyprovide effective skin cleansing with feweradverse effects. Averrhoacarambola (Star Fruit) isarich source of naturalantioxidants, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, andvitaminC, making itapromising ingredient for skincare applications. Objective: The presentstudyaimed to develop and evaluate anantioxidant herbal face wash containing Star Fruit extract for effective cleansing, skin hydration, andantioxidantprotection. Theherbal face wash was formulated using StarFruitextract, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, XanthanGum, Panthenol, Optiphen Plus, andpurified water. The prepared formulation was evaluated forappearance, pH, viscosity, spreadability, foamability, foam retention, washability, skinirritation, and stability underdifferent storage conditions.
