ROLE OF GARBHINI PARICHARYA IN IMPROVING MATERNAL AND FETAL OUTCOMES: A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

Abstract Pregnancy is a physiological state associated with profound anatomical, physiological, nutritional and psychological changes in the mother. Ayurveda describes a comprehensive system of antenatal care under the concept of Garbhini Paricharya, which includes dietary regulation, lifestyle modification, psychological care, month-wise dietary recommendations and measures intended to support maternal health and fetal development. The classical Ayurvedic texts describe pregnancy as a state requiring special attention because maternal health and fetal development are closely interconnected.
