FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF HERBAL HAIR SERUM CONTAINING ALMOND OIL AND ALOEVERA GEL

Abstract

Nowadays, cosmetics have become an important part of daily life and are widely used by people to enhance their appearance and maintain a youthful and attractive look. Among various cosmetic products, herbal cosmetics are gaining increasing popularity because they are believed to have fewer side effects and better safety. Hair is one of the important parts of the body that provides protection and contributes to overall appearance. Therefore, the present study was aimed at developing a herbal hair serum for general and daily use by using different herbal ingredients. The prepared herbal hair serum formulations were evaluated for their physical appearance, pH, homogeneity, viscosity, spreadability, and stability. Three different formulations, namely H1, H2, and H3, were prepared using different concentrations of the selected ingredients. All the formulations were evaluated using various physicochemical parameters, and the results obtained were found to be satisfactory and within the acceptable limits. The present study revealed that the developed herbal hair serum formulations may be effective in improving hair quality and maintaining healthy-looking hair.
