NEW TRENDS IN THE CHEMISTRY OF ANTICANCER DRUGS

Abstract The majority of conventional chemotherapeutic agents cause cell death by directly inhibiting the synthesis of DNA or interfering with its function. This means that they are often not tumor-specific and are associated with considerable morbidity. Nowadays there are many trends in the chemistry of anticancer drugs appear and there is no doubt that almost of these trends help each others in order to give good results in anticancer drugs research.
