CISPLATIN INDUCED APOPTOSIS AND CELL ADHESION MOLECULE
Bhumi Bhatt and Dr. Ajit V Pandya
Abstract Burrows and other workers (WILLIAMS, 1946) demonstrated growth of epithelial cells, connective tissue and a variety of tumor cells. A number of additional properties of cisplatin are now emerging including activation of signal transduction pathways leading to apoptosis. The elegance with which these cells develop, grow, regenerate and indeed die has been partly elucidated by scientist studying the cells in vitro. Cells treated with 5μg Drug Cisplatin. The result was that due to the effect of drug the cells showed rounding off and apoptosis. The demonstration that human tumors could also give rise to continuous cell lines encouraged interest in human tissue. Keywords: human tissue, Cells, 5?g Drug.
