Abstract

GC-MS ANALYSIS OF CALOTROPIS GIGANTEAN LINN WHOLE PLANT EXTRACT (PETROLEUM ETHER EXTRACT)

Abstract

Calotropis gigantean Linn is a distributed in Himalaya region and all over India. This plant is widely used as a different type of activity. The present study was planned to investigation the number of constituents present in the Calotropis gigantean Linn of whole plant Petroleum ether extracts by quantitative GC-MS analysis and phytochemical screening. The GC-MS concluded that Petroleum ether extract is having 16 compounds. The preliminary phytochemical screening reveals that the presence of alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, resins and carbohydrates.
