Abstract

4H-1,3-benzoxazin-4-one is a nitrogen containing aromatic organic heterocycles consist of fusion of benzene and 6H-1,3-oxazin-6- one.previous study have reported that benzoxazine-4-one shows wide range of biological activities with suitable modifications in the structure. This review presents a updated, systematic and comprehensive literature of the methods of synthesis and diverse biological activities including antibacterial, antifungal, Cir serine protease inhibitor, hypocholesterolemic. It can acts as an important tool for researcher to develop newer substituted benzoxazinone moiety that could be better agents in terms of safety and efficacy for the human beings.
