Abstract Secondary metabolites of plants are prooved to be highly useful in human therapy, veternary, agriculture and scientific research. The usefulness of plant material is due to the presence of alkaloids, tannins, flavanoids and phenolic compounds. In the present study there is an effort to screen these bioactive compounds in wild plant Urginea indica where there is really any investigations have taken place. This is prooved to be one of the great medicinal tribal plant that definitely help the mankind to resolve various health issues.
