NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER: PRESENT TREATMENT AND UPCOMING IMPROVEMENTS

Abstract Lung cancer it has been the leading cause of the cancer – related death worldwide, lung cancer has a poor prognosis; most of the people diagnosed with lung cancer die within one year of the diagnosed and 5- year survival is less than 18% non-small cell lung cancer [NSCLC] explanation for the majority of all lung cancer cases .most of cases for developing NSCLC have been known, with cigarette smoking being a main factor along with other environmental and genetic risk factor.Developing on the staging of lung cancer, patients are suitable for certain treatment going from surgery to radiation to chemotherapy as well as targeting therapy. with improvement of genetic and biomarkers testing ,particular mutation have been known to better target treatment for individual patient .this review article gives the present treatment including surgery ,chemotherapy ,radiotherapy and immunotherapy as well as how biomarker sting has assisted improve survival in patient with non-small cell lung cancer[NSCLC] Keywords: chemotherapy, immunotherapy, non-small cell lung cancer [Full Text Article] [Download Certificate] |
