A CASE REPORT ON BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIBIOTICS INDUCED ERYTHEMA MULTIFORME WITH ORAL CANDIDIASIS

Abstract
Oral reactions are most common type of drug induced reaction. Adverse drug reactions can be caused due to most common drugs available. Antibiotics are the most common predisposing factor among all the classes of drugs. In the present case treatment given for chilitis, stomatitis, glossitis leads to oral candidiasis with EM. Oral candidiasis is a common fungal infection caused by over growth of candida species (candida albican). In uncommon hypersensitivity reactions a sudden onset reaction that is characterized by red spots on hands and feet that starts spreading towards upward to trunk is called ad Erythema multiforme This condition required another antibiotic and discontinuation of previous prescribed antibiotic.
