SYNTHESIS OF 1,2,4-TRIAZOLES FROM DICLOFENAC AS ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTI-FUNGAL AGENTS

Abstract Re-engineering of old drugs for developing new drugs is the current trend in designing novel molecules to treat microbial infection. Most of the drugs are facing a major problem of microbial resistance. The current designed triazoles are excellent anti-microbial agents. Inflammation and Infection are complementary to each other unless and until the inflammation is due to pathological condition. The new molecules are most potent due to anti-inflammatory action diclofenac and anti-microbial property of triazoles.
