TO STUDY THE ASSESSMENT OF HAEMOGLOBIN PERCENTAGE OF ADOLESCENT FEMALES OF DAUDHAR VILLAGE WITH SPECIAL REFRENCE TO ETIOPATHOGENESIS OF PANDU VYADHI

Abstract Context: According to national family health survey 3 revels prevalence of anaemia to be 70 to 80% in children, among which 50 to 60% is seen in adolescent females; age group between 10 to 18 years. Pandu is a Pitta pradhana vyadhi which is resemble with Anaemia. Haemoglobin parentage role an important part to distinguish Anaemia (Pandu roga). Haemoglobin estimation was done in adolescent females, aged between 10 to 18 years, residing in Daudhar village for etiopathogenesis of Pandu (Anaemia). Aim: To study the assessment of haemoglobin percentage of adolescent females of Daudhar village with special reference to etiopathogenesis of Pandu vyadhi. Settings and Design: Observational and survey study. Materials and Methods: The study was conduct on 200 volunteers which ranging 6 to 11 gm Hb percent. The subjects Symptoms, clinical features and haematological parameters were documented for further statistical analysis. Statistical Analysis Used: Observation of the study were analysed and evaluated by using statistical methods (Z-test). Results: The present survey study shows that the haemoglobin percent is decreased in adolescence females of Daudhar village. Statistical analysis of Z- value of two proportional means regarding Hetu and Lakshmana’s comes in between -1.96 to +1.96 (at 5 percent level of significance) so the results is significance. Tridoshaj Pandu is more prone, out of 4 types of Pandu. Conclusions: The results suggest that haemoglobin percent is low and Tridoshaj Pandu vyadhi is more in adolescence females of village.
