Abstract

Ayurved has described poisons and their antidotes. In Basavarajiyam text mentioned that Kamala patra churna as antidote for Dhatura poisoning. Dhatura and Kamala are easily available and found throughout India. Hence there is necessity to find out an effective and non expensive antidote which is easily available even for the common man.Thus here is an effort to study the antidote effect of Kamala patra churna in Albino mice exposed to Dhatura poisoning.
