Abstract

This review focuses on the recent advances in the preparation and application of magnetic micro/nanoparticles specially it covers (a) methods of preparation (such as by co precipitation, pyrolysis, hydrothermal, solvent thermal, sol-gel, micro-emulsion, sonochemical methods, and (b) application such as hyperthermic therapy, magnetic gene therapy, magnetic hyperthermia, diagnosis of cancer cells, magnetic separation, magnetorelaxometry, test of prothrombin time for leukemia, solid phase extraction, atherosclerosis imaging, nanomagnetic molecular sensing.
