TWO YEARS FOLLOW UP – OCTOGENARIAN GERIATRIC FEMALE WITH POSTURAL DEFORMITIES OF THE SPINE TREATED BY PHYSIOTHERAPY

Abstract Geriatric female living independently was treated in this study for postural deformities of the spine. Muscular imbalance along with obesity can influence posture of the neck and lumbar spine. Complaints with inability to hold the neck upright in sitting standing and walking, since 5 years and unsteady walking. She was treated with regular physiotherapy of twice a week frequency from February 2015 till March 2017. Along with home programme results recorded presently includes an improved confidence while walking, better, posture of the spine and an enhanced QOL.
