CONCEPT OF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION OF URINE IN AYURVEDA

Abstract Urine has been considerd as one of the most important part amongmala in ayurveda. Almost all the acharya of ayurved has emphasisedthe important of urine examination for diagnosis of disease. Equalimportance has been paid in modern system of medicine also andphysical emanination of urine has been described in detail there. Thesephysical characteristics are helpful in the diagnosis of certain diseaseasper ayueveda also. Though ancient acharya of ayurveda had notdescribed these parameters at one place, on review of litreture, it isfound that all of these parameters has been described in reference tovarious disease.
