Abstract
On this earth only plants have the capacity to produce natural product
that are used by humans for the treatment of various diseases. These
products are classified into Primary and secondary metabolites which
increase immunity and also provide relief from diseases. These
secondary metabolites are produce in response to internal and external
stimuli or stress. The use of traditional medicines and medicinal plants
in mainly developing countries as remedial agents for the maintenance
of health has been broadly observed. The therapeutic properties of
plants could be based on their anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, antipyretic
effects of the phytochemical constituents in them.
