NUTUE REHM (UTEROVAGINAL PROLAPSE): A UNANI REVIEW

Abstract
The uterovaginal prolapse is one of the most common cause of
gynecological morbidity in India and constitutes a major public health
problem which is responsible for around 20% of women on waiting
lists for major gynecological surgery. A detailed description of
uterovaginal prolapse is mentioned in ancient unani classical literature
regarding its causes, signs, symptoms, diagnosis and management
under the heading inzalaqur rehm or khurooje rehm. The present
review is an attempt to just highlight the unani aspect of uterovaginal
prolapse.
