DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF AZILSARTAN KAMEDOXOMIL AND CILNIDIPINE IN SYNTHETIC MIXTURE

Abstract A simple, sensitive, accurate and precise spectrophotometric method has been developed and validated for simultaneous determination of Azilsartan Kamedoxomil and Cilnidipine in synthetic mixture by simultaneous equations method. Methanol was selected as solvent in the proposed method. Azilsartan Kamedoxomil and Cilnidipine were found to have absorbance maxima (λmax) at 212 nm and 240 nm, respectively in methanol. Beer’s law was obeyed in the concentration range of 2-14 μg/ml for both the drugs. The developed method was validated as per ICH guidelines in terms of linearity, precision (method precision and intermediate precision), accuracy (recovery study), LOD and LOQ. The proposed method is successfully applied for simultaneous estimation of both drugs from synthetic mixture.
